Sowfund is built as an online-first giving platform, so mailed checks take a different path than online donations, and that path can take several weeks from the time we receive your check to the time it's credited to the missionary. This isn't a delay on our end, it's largely due to standard banking clearance timelines that are outside of our control.
As soon as we receive your check, you'll get a receipt confirming it's been received and is processing. Your official tax-deductible receipt is sent once the check has fully cleared.
If you'd like a faster option, a bank transfer (e-check) through the missionary's Sowfund page clears much faster than a mailed check.
