What does a closed fundraiser mean

A closed fundraiser is a fundraiser that is no longer actively accepting donations.

Fundraisers on Sowfund are time-based and/or goal-based, meaning they remain open until either the fundraising deadline is reached, the funding goal is met, or the missionary chooses to end the fundraiser early.

Once a fundraiser is closed, it will no longer receive new donations, including one-time or recurring contributions tied to that specific fundraiser. Any final donations that are still processing may still be completed, but no new giving can be added to the campaign.

Closed fundraisers may still appear on a missionary's profile for transparency, allowing donors to view past fundraising activity and outcomes.
