Sowfund is a Christian fundraising platform built for missionaries and ministry workers. To be eligible for a Sowfund account, applicants must meet the following requirements.
You must be engaged in genuine faith-based or ministry work. Sowfund is not intended for commercial ventures, personal brand building, or activities that are primarily income-generating. Your ministry work must serve a public ministry purpose.
You must be a resident of a supported country. Missionaries may serve anywhere in the world, but must live in one of Sowfund's supported countries to open and maintain an account. You can view the full list on the Supported Countries page.
You must complete identity verification through Stripe. Sowfund partners with Stripe to verify the identity of all applicants. This step is required before your application can be approved.
You must complete the full onboarding process, including setting up your banking details. This ensures that donations can be transferred to your account once you are approved.
Providing supporting documentation during onboarding — such as proof of ministry activity, social media links, or organizational affiliations — can help speed up your review and strengthen your application.
Once all requirements are met, the Sowfund team will review your application and notify you of your approval status via email.
